Defeating the Dragons

You never know when you will have to face a dragon. There may be one lurking just around the corner, waiting frighten you will its menacing look, its mighty roar and its fiery breathe.

When a wise person is aware of potential danger, they prepare ahead of time so that they are not overcome by the element of surprise. They know what a dragon looks like, they understand how dragons act, learn how to defend themselves and, ultimately, how to defeat a dragon.

A foolish person walks through life believing that, somehow, they are immune from attack. They get caught off guard, unprepared, and end up caught in the clutches of the beast. Then there problem is figuring out how to escape from the misery of the dragon’s dominion.

Tales of the Kingdom’s allegorical setting allows parents to prepare their precious children from the dragons in this world that are attacking them at younger ages than ever before. The battle is actually won in the preparation, as we teach our children to recognize dragons, how to avoid them and how to conquer them.

The very best tactics for defeating dragons are found in Scripture.
• Know the truth. The truth sets us free and keeps us free. (John 8:32)
• Avoid dragons by abstaining from even the appearance of anything evil. (I Thess. 5:22)
• Stay close to the Lord. (Romans 8:37-39 & Ephesians 6:10,11)
• Resist the dragons. We know that if we resist that Dragon, the Devil himself, even he will flee from us. (James 4:7)

Our children need to know that the Lord has already given us to power to be victorious against any demon, dragon or devil and all of their devices and deceptions. Use the Tales of the Kingdom as you would Scripture to train your child for the life that lies ahead of them. If you are faithful in your instruction and live according to the Word of God, they will be prepared to defeat the dragons.
